Introduction to Vectorworks
An introduction to using Vectorworks for drafting scenery and lighting. Tools, techniques, and workflow are discussed and a groundplan, section, elevation, and light plot created. A class taught to upper level undergraduate and graduate students.
Vectorworks Lighting Intensive
A 6 day class introducing students to the tools, techniques, and strategies of drafting and rendering for lighting. Students complete a small plot, section, typical show paperwork and a rendering of a set with lighting. Taught to undergraduate students.
Basic Stage Lighting
Introduction to the basics of electricity, instrumentation, control principles, and basic design process and applications.
Lighting Design Intensive
An intensive 6 week exploration of lighting design for the stage to introduce students to the elements of professional theatrical lighting design. This course covers an introduction to design analysis, design research, color theory, photometrics, and required documentation of lighting design. The course culminates in a finished set of drawings and associated paperwork for a theoretical production.
